Android 5.0-based Cyanogen OS 12 now rolling out to Yu Yureka

Yu Televentures has announced that it is starting the Cyanogen OS 12 roll-out for the Yureka smartphone. The update will be available over-the-air (OTA) and automatically reach your smartphone. According to the company, it is releasing the update in phases over the next three days, so not everyone will get it right-away, but you can manually check for it by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.

“Just 2 days back we submitted the certification for Lollipop and the good news is that it’s signed and sealed. The roll out begins NOW,” wrote Rahul Sharma of Yu in a forum post.

The company has not shared a full change-log, but you can expect to see the Lollipop goodies like enhanced notifications, material design changes, performance enhancements, improved quick settings and more. In addition, the update will also pack new CM features like Email app powered by Boxer, App theming support, and more.
