Yu Yureka gets first software update

Cyanogen Inc and Yu Televentures have released the first software update for the Yu Yureka smartphone. Around 73MB in size, this is an incremental update and doesn’t include any major changes.

It is now available over-the-air (OTA) and the Yu Yureka users will automatically receive the update notification on their smartphone. You can also look for the update manually by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.

As per the notification, the update carries Cyanogen OS version 11.0-XNPH05Q and brings security fixes and improvements to proximity sensor and dual-SIM functionality.

In related news, Amazon will be holding the next Yu Yureka flash sale today at 2PM. 15,000 units of the phone are on offer and if you have registered for the sale, head over to Amazon India before 2PM to participate in it. The phone carries a price-tag of INR 8,999.
