Moto G (1st gen) Android 5.0 update could reach India soon

Advertisements

Looks like Android 5.0 update for the first generation Moto G smartphone could arrive in the Indian market soon. The company earlier today began inviting users for the soak test of the Lollipop update in the country and it has also rolled-out an updated version of Motorola Update Services in Play Store, which will be necessary for this update.

The soak test is scheduled to go live in the next few days and if everything goes on smoothly, Motorola will release the update for everyone. There is still no word on an exact date, but we expect the update to reach the smartphone in the next fortnight.

If you are eagerly waiting for this update, make sure your smartphone is ready with the updated version of Motorola Update Services. Whenever Motorola begins the official roll-out, you will get a notification on your phone about the same.

To remind you, Android 5.0 aka Lollipop is the biggest update in the recent few years. It brings a number of new features and improvements like enhanced user-interface with material design, improved overall performance, lock-screen notifications, heads up notifications, ART as default runtime, and more.

Thanks Suraj, Prashanth, and Bobby for the tip
