Motorola begins soak test for Moto G (2nd Gen) Android 5.0 update

After starting the soak test for Moto X (2nd Gen) Lollipop last week, Motorola has now begun the same process for Moto G (2nd Gen) smartphone. The company sent out the soak test OTA to the selected users earlier today and if everything goes well, we expect a full release in the coming days.

Looks like, both Moto X (2nd Gen) and Moto G (2nd Gen) will be lucky enough to get the Lollipop update this month, if not before the Nexus devices, which are still waiting for Lollipop release.

Motorola has also shared the full release notes for the Moto G (2nd Gen) Android 5.0 update and they can now be checked out on Motorola website. The change-log includes the new features and improvements introduced in Lollipop like material design, smart lock, performance enhancements, better security, guest account support, improved notifications as well as updated version of Motorola Assist.

We hope to hear from Motorola about the expanded Android 5.0 roll-out for Moto G (2nd-Gen) soon.
