Samsung has unveiled the new Galaxy Tab 4 series earlier today, which will be succeeding the company’s Galaxy Tab 3 devices. Set to go on sale in Q2 this year, the Tab 4 series includes three tablets of 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch display sizes.

Packing mid-range specifications, the Galaxy Tab 4-series seems to have been made keeping the budget consumers in mind and will join Samsung’s high-end and premium TabPro and NotePro devices.

According to Samsung, all three tablets in Galaxy Tab 4 series will be released in Wi-Fi only, 3G and 4G LTE variants but all variants might not be reach every market.

Coming to the details, the Galaxy Tab 4 series runs on Android 4.4 and comes with WXGA display resolution (1280x800p), 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 3MP rear camera, and 1.3MP front camera. The tablets also pack 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (7-inch Tab 4 will have a 8GB version as well), microSD card slot, and the usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Although not many details are available about the software of the Tab 4 series, Samsung seems to have included a toned down version of Touchwiz on the devices.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series will be released in Black or White colour options, however there is no word on the pricing.
