Advertisements

LG India has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in the country. The update is being released over-the-air (OTA) and via PC Suite application. To manually check for the update on your G2, go to Settings << About Phone << Software update.

The update is 535MB in size and brings KitKat-specific changes like restyled status and navigation bars, immersive mode, improved closed captioning support, cloud-print support and stronger security as well as better battery usage, improved performance, improved Knock On (Knock Code is coming soon to G2).

Like all software updates, LG G2 Android 4.4.2 update is also being rolled-out in phases. So, not everyone will get it right-away, it might take a couple of days to reach everyone.

If you have already updated your LG G2 to KitKat, do let us know about the experience in comments section.

It looks good…..but not many features….also the ram usage is not decreased which is sad….knock code was not part of this upgrade…..

Got screwed big time after updating to Kitkat. My awesome device now runs dry by evening. Screen on time from 5-6 hrs now can’t even complete 3.5 🙁 🙁
Please help me rollback! Knock code was also include, got the update on 12-May-14

while checking software update it says you are using the latest version, but the service center says it has launched in India can you throw some light into the matter?
