Along with PadFone X, Asus has also introduced another Padfone-series device today. It is PadFone Mini, the second PadFone Mini from the company after PadFone Mini 4.3, which was launched last month in Taiwan.

It features a 4-inch WVGA IPS+ display and comes with a 7-inch tablet dock packing 1280x800p IPS+ display. PadFone Mini also includes 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, and 2MP front camera.

Asus is also loading the new Zen UI on PadFone Mini, which is a part of ZenFone series too.  In addition, the company will be releasing a dual-SIM variant of the device.

“PadFone mini is gloriously slim, with the smartphone’s gently-curved design tapering to just 6.3mm at its thinnest edge — and the smartphone itself weighs just 116g. With diamond-cut edges and a spun-metal finish, it also looks beautiful. A soft-touch ceramic coating ensures comfort and great durability,” Asus notes in a press release.

Pricing and availability

Asus PadFone Mini will go on sale in Q2, 2014 for a price for $249.
