LG announces Chromebase, an All-in-One with Chrome OS on-board

LG has announced the first All-in-One computer with Google’s Chrome OS on-board. Dubbed as LG Chromebase, the device will be formally unveiled at the upcoming CES 2014.

According to LG, it features a 21.5-inch display with 1080p resolution, 4th gen Intel processor (Celeron), 1.3MP webcam, 2GB of RAM and 16GB SSD. Chromebase also packs HDMI-in, three USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, and Ethernet port.

“LG’s Chromebase is an exciting new form factor that expands the options available to customers who want a fast, simple and secure computing experience for the home, school or office,” said Caesar Sengupta, vice president of product management, Google. “LG Electronics makes great devices that customers love, and we’re glad to welcome them to the Chrome family.”

There is no word on the pricing or availability right now but we hope to hear more at CES 2014.
