Samsung launches Galaxy S4 Active LTE-A in Korea with Snapdragon 800

Samsung has launched its rugged Galaxy S4 Active in the home market with LTE-A support and couple of other improvements over the original version. Headed to telecom operator SK Telecom, this variant of Galaxy S4 Active comes with IP67 certifications and is dust and water-resistant (up to three feet of water for 30 minutes).

The phone also packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2600 mAh battery, 5-inch full HD display and 32GB of internal storage. In addition, Galaxy S4 Active LTE-A comes with 13MP rear camera, Wi-Fi, Android 4.2 and the usual Korea-specific stuff.

The phone goes on sale today and has been priced at 899,000 won ($854).

Despite the rumours of Galaxy S5 debut in February, the launches like Galaxy J in Taiwan and GS4 Active LTE-A in Korea clearly suggest that there is still some time in release of next Galaxy S phone, thus Samsung is releasing these filler devices.
