As promised, Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update for Xperia ZR smartphone in select countries. At the time of writing this post, the update was live in Russia, Denmark and Norway. It is expected to be available in more regions over the coming weeks.
There is no official change-log available at this moment but according to reports, the update brings improved RAM management, smoother overall performance, 3G signal improvement and better touch response. Among other changes, there is support for lock-screen widget, notifications bar quick toggles, low-light image quality improvement and other fixes.
You can grab the update over-the-air or via Sony’s PC Companion or Bridge for Mac applications on your desktop. If you have already updated you Xperia ZR, do let us know about the experience in the comments section.
