Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE version getting Android 4.2.2 update

Advertisements

Sony has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for Xperia Tablet Z LTE version owners. The update is now live via Sony PC Companion & Bridge for Mac softwares. There is no word on the update release for Wi-Fi only version as well as 3G version.

There is no official change-log available but the update reportedly brings few tweaks to the user interface like centered Android navigation buttons and notification bar on top. These tweaks are in line with what Google introduced in stock Android as a part of Android 4.2 – more phone like UI rather than tablet.

The update also brings performance enhancements to this tablet. Check out a few screenshots from the updated Xperia Tablet Z below.

In related news, Sony has also started rolling out Andorid 4.2.2 update for Xperia ZR in select regions recently. The update can be downloaded via PC Companion or Bridge for Mac softwares.

If you have already received the update, do let us know about the experience in the comments.
