Sony begins Android 4.3 update roll-out for Xperia Z, ZL, ZR & Tablet Z

After Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra, Sony has now started rolling out Android 4.3 for Xperia Z, ZL, and ZR smartphones as well as Xperia Tablet Z. The company today posted on its official blog notifying the update release.

According to Sony, the Android 4.3 update for the aforementioned devices brings Xperia in Business, Xperia themes and other enhancements. You can check out the full change-log below.  Most of the update is same as was rolled-out for Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra.

  • Android 4.3 base
  • Smart Social Camera app
  • Tweaked / improved versions of Messaging, MyXperia, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, Sony Select and other Sony apps.
  • WALKMAN, Album and Movies apps with Sony Entertainment Network cloud service integration
  • “Xperia Themes”, with downloadable UI packs from Sony Select
  • Sony’s mobile enterprise solution: Xperia in Business
  • Updated version of Sony’s power management app
  • Increased user control for Xperia Tablet Z, with “Restricted Profiles” (only for the tablet)

Sony has revealed that it will soon be announcing Jelly Bean update roll-out plans for remaining devices.
