Advertisements

Days after the sibling Xperia ZL, Sony’s Xperia Z has also starting receiving Android 4.2.2 update. The update is currently live in multiple markets across the globe.

Like every other Sony update, the latest update too is available via PC Companion software, which can be downloaded from the company support site.

Update roll-out now available for:

  • Carrier locked versions in Austria, Czech Republic, Netherlands
  • Unlocked versions in Spain, Hong Kong, Taiwan

The new software build number is said to be the same 10.3.A.0.423 as Xperia ZL. There is no word on the change-log right now but we can expect to see the latest version of the company’s media apps, lock-screen widgets, notifications bar improvements, daydream, quick toggles in notification bar and performance improvements and more.

As per some reports, the new update also brings a remote phone location app and support for MicroSD cards up to 64GB.

If you have already updated your Sony Xperia Z, do let us know about the experience in comments.
