Samsung Galaxy Note getting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in India

Advertisements

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy Note users in the country. The update is available via Kies app. We have got multiple confirmations that it is a broad roll-out, so connect your Note to PC or Mac right now and open Kies to update the device.

There is no official change-log available right now, but the update should bring Project Butter improvements, Google Now, new customizable notification area, Multi-View, Smart Rotation, Page Buddy, enhanced keyboard input, updated gallery app, and improved Pop-up Play.

Update details:

  • Baseband version – N7000DDLS6
  • Build number – N7000DDLSC

Samsung had originally started the global Note Jelly Bean update roll-out last month and it has only reached around 10-12 regions till now.

In related news, Samsung has also started pushing a small update to Galaxy Grand users in the country, which brings the Group Play feature. The update is available OTA; you can read more about in our detailed post.

If you have already updated your Galaxy Note to Jelly Bean, do let us know about the experience in comments.

Thanks Varun

i am unable to download the update OTA(says, update is available to users in the order they requested)

also not via kies. it says my phone’s current software is not supported for upgrade via kies…

how do i install it?

I have started the upgrade via KIES at 10:00 am today, but is taking unusually long. As of 10:34 am only 42% completed. Seems like a BIG upgrade. Hope it works well.
