Samsung Galaxy S2 gets Jelly Bean update on T-Mobile USA

T-Mobile USA has announced that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S II is now available via Samsung Kies software. The update size is around 768MB and it will bring goodies like Google Now, new UI and more to this Samsung Android phone.

Update details:

  • Version: Android version 4.1.2/ Baseband version T989UVMC6
  • Kies only update (~756MB MB)
  • New Features: Android 4.1.2 OS (Jelly Bean)

The update should also bring improved notifications, offline voice-typing, better power management, Project Butter improvements and more to Galaxy S II.

“Beginning April 8, the Samsung Galaxy S II will have an optional software update to Android version  4.1.2/ Software T989UVMC6 via Samsung Kies only.  This update changes the OS to Jelly Bean,” T-Mobile noted on the software update page.
