Verizon finally announces Galaxy Nexus arrival, available tomorrow

US telecom operator Verizon has announced that Galaxy Nexus will be available from December 15 in stores for $299.99 with a two year contract. This announcement ends one of longest waiting time for a smartphone in the recent time stateside.

Online sales will start from Verizon website at 1AM EST, which is about 2 hours away, or you can directly go to your nearest Verizon store first thing tomorrow morning.  Verizon Galaxy Nexus also got the Android 4.0.2 update today, so chances are that once you power on your brand new ICS phone, update will be waiting for you.

To remind you about Galaxy Nexus, it is the first Android 4.0 smartphone and features dual core processor, 5MP rear camera, NFC, front camera, 1GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and LTE connectivity.

ICS is a major update from Gingerbread for Android, comes with some brand new features like Android beam, Face Unlock along with updated UI, People App, Camera app and cloud services.
