Sony Ericsson to bring Qriocity video service to Xperia phones

Sony Ericsson has announced that it will be launching Qriocity video service on Xperia phones starting August 1. Xperia Mini and Mini Pro will be the first devices to get the service, followed by Xperia Active and Ray [when they launch].

Other Xperia phones, which were released in 2011like Arc, Play and Neo will get the device the service via a software update later this year.

Qriocity video service will be first available in nine markets with localisation of content and movies – UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, Japan*[end of August], Canada and the United States.

What does the service provide: Using it, you can buy or rent movies or TV shows from NBC, Universal International Television Distribution, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Warner Bros.
