2024 LG QNED TV models: What we know

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the new televisions. Here is what LG has revealed till now. We will get more details during CES 2024, and I will update the post at that time.

  • LG QNED98: The biggest LG QNED Mini LED TV
  • LG QNED90: A QNED Mini LED TV with a Million Grey Scale feature that better represents the various shades of grey.
  • LG QNED85 and LG QNED80: QNED TVs with 24mm thin profile

There will also be models in 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, and 86-inch sizes.

In other details, we know that the newest version of webOS will support user profiles, Apple AirPlay, and Chromecast. The TVs will also support Dolby Vision and HDR10.

What is a QNED TV?

A QNED TV is essentially an LCD TV that uses regular LEDs for backlighting and has quantum dots and LG’s NanoCell technology. Thanks to these technologies, a QNED TV can produce lifelike colors and wide viewing angles. You can consider a QNED TV similar to QLED TVs that also employ LEDs and have a layer of quantum dots.

What is a QNED Mini LED TV?

A QNED Mini LED TV is the same as a regular QNED TV, but instead of regular LEDs, it employs Mini LEDs for backlighting. This results in higher brightness and a better local dimming implementation. So, the QNED Mini LED TVs sit above regular QNED TVs in LG’s lineup.
