9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 leaked online

After bringing metal in smartphones, Samsung now seems to be planning to do the same with tablets. The company’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S2 slate has been leaked online and if the image is authentic, it could be the first Samsung slate with a metal frame.

The shape of the tablet looks similar to the company’s recently unveiled Galaxy Tab A devices with its 4:3 aspect ratio screen, but rest of it is high-end and premium unlike the budget Galaxy Tab A.

As per unconfirmed reports, the 9.7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab S2 will come with a 2048x1536p Super AMOLED display, Android 5.0, Exynos octa-core processor, and 3GB of RAM. The tablet is also rumoured to feature 32GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, optional cellular connectivity, 8MP rear camera, and 2.1MP front shooter.

The slate is likely to be unveiled next month and will compete with Apple iPad Air 2 and its successor. There is no word on the pricing right now. Samsung is also expected to bring an 8-inch version of the slate to take on iPad Mini 3.
