Moto G Google Play edition gets Android 5.1 update

Advertisements

After the roll-out of the Android 5.1 update for select Nexus devices and Android One phones, Google has now released the update for Moto G Google Play edition.

The update is now rolling out over-the-air and carries the build number LMY47M. 171MB in size, the update brings the same changes that were released for the Nexus devices like tweaked quick-settings panel, Device Protection feature, tweaks to interruptions, bug fixes as well as improved dual-SIM implementation.

There is no word on when other Google Play edition devices will get the update or when it will reach the rest of Nexus devices.

In related news, Google has expanded the Android 5.1 OTA roll-out for Nexus 5, if you haven’t received the update until now, it should be reaching your phone real soon.
