Android 5.0 update roll-out begins for Samsung Galaxy S5 Exynos version

Over a month after the Korean manufacturer Samsung started the Android 5.0 Lollipop update roll-out for the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S5, the company has released the same update for the Exynos-variant of the phone.

The update is currently available in Kazakhstan and we expect it to reach other markets including India in the coming days. It will be rolled-out both over-the-air (OTA) as well as via Samsung Kies application.

As you can expect, the update brings redesigned user interface, material design changes, updated Samsung apps, improved performance, enhanced notifications, improved fingerprint recognition, ART as default run-time and more.

To remind you, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and Note 3 smartphones are also scheduled to get Lollipop in Q1 and users in Russia have already started receiving Android 5.0 on their Note 3 smartphone.
