Samsung India starts rolling out Android 5.0 for Galaxy S5

Samsung has finally begun rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 smartphone in the Indian market. The update is now available over-the-air as well as via Samsung Kies application.

Over 874MB in size, the update will need 3GB of free space in the internal storage of your Galaxy S5 unit. So, make sure you have enough space before initiating the update. Also, reboot your phone once after completing the update.

The official change-log is unavailable at this point, but you can expect to see material design changes, enhanced notifications, guest mode, upgraded Samsung application, performance improvements, ART as default runtime and more.

We are hearing some reports of problems with the Galaxy S5 after update, so if you have have already updated your phone, do let us know about the experience in the comments.

i got the update on my s5..inu version..im from mumbai..tested it for a while..all looks good uptill now..just a little lag noticed in dialer n contact apps..will try it for some more time and let ull know

it is not FAKE. so you retards stop commenting negative first. its true news and tis region wise. for now its getting in the south regions of india. so have patience and wait.

Im from South region of India and i am really tired of checking for the update for my Galaxy S5 and I still haven’t received it.
