Huawei to unveil Android Wear smartwatch at MWC, Ascend P8 coming in April

Huawei has revealed that the company plans to launch its first Android Wear-powered smartwatch at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. The company hasn’t shared any details about the device, but noted that the smartwatch will be accompanied by a couple of fitness bands, which will most likely succeed the company’s Talkband B1.

The company’s smartphone line-up is unlikely see any major new additions at MWC, as Huawei has decided to unveil its flagship Ascend P8 smartphone during a separate event in April this year. This event will take place on April 15 in London.

As per rumours, Ascend P8 will include a 5.2-inch full HD display, octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI. The phone is also expected to include 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 4G LTE support.

Among other device announcements at MWC, Huawei is likely to introduce the Honor X2 tablet, which will reportedly pack a full HD display, Kirin 925 processor, 3GB of RAM, and Android 5.0.
