Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has announced the launch of a new Fonepad-series tablet in the Indian market. The new Asus Fonepad 8 FE380CG has been priced at INR 13,999 and is now available via Flipkart and Asus experience stores in Black and Gold colour options.

Asus Fonepad 8 FE380CG features an 8-inch 1280x800p IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor, Android 4.4 and 2GB of RAM. The tablet also comes with 3G connectivity, dual-SIM support, 4000 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. In addition, Asus has included 5MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter in the tablet.

Given the lack of many good 3G Android tablets in the sub-INR 15K price-bracket, Asus Fonepad 8 will have little completion and it actually seems like a good option for the given price-tag.
