Asus Fonepad 8 FE380CG getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update in India

It is raining Lollipop updates today, after Zenfone 4, 5, 6 and Motorola Moto E (1^st Gen), we are now hearing that Asus Fonepad 8 FE380CG is getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the Indian market. The update is now live over-the-air and can be manually triggered by going to Settings > About Tablet > Software updates.

Around 660MB in size, the update brings the usual Lollipop tweaks to the Fonepad tablet including performance enhancements and improved notifications as well as updated Zen UI.

Originally launched in January this year with Android 4.4 on-board, the Fonepad 8 tablet features an 8-inch 1280x800p IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor, and 2GB of RAM. There is no word on the roll-out schedule for other Asus tablets at this point.
