Chinese smartphone maker Oppo seems to be working on a new Android smartphone with U3 branding, which will be its first phone with 64-bit AP. The phone was recently spotted in the database of benchmarking website GFXBench. The smartphone listing on the website has revealed the key specifications of the device.

As per GFXbench, Oppo U3 will sport a 4.6-inch full HD 1920x1080p display and will be powered MediaTek’s 64-bit MT6752 octa-core processor. The phone will also pack 2GB of RAM, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and Android 4.4.4.

There is no word on the release date, but we expect Oppo U3 to be announced before the end of this year. The phone will most likely be a part of the company’s high-end portfolio and will join the recently launched R5 and N3 smartphones, which are also expected to start shipping before the end of 2014.
