After a number of teasers and leaks, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has unveiled the new R7 and R7 Plus Android smartphones. The phones are now on pre-order in China and will reach global markets over the coming months.
Part of Oppo’s R-series of slim smartphone, the new phones sports a magnesium-aluminum alloy unibody design with 6.3mm (R7) and 7.75mm (R7 Plus) thick chassis. The smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor and run on Android Lollipop-based Color OS 2.1. While the R7 features a 5-inch full HD AMOED display, R7 Plus will come with 6-inch full HD AMOLED screen.
On the imaging front, Oppo has gone with 13MP f2.2 primary camera and 8MP f2.4 secondary shooter. Among other key features, the company has included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the R7 Plus, but the same is not present on the R7. You can check out the detailed specifications later in the report.
