LG has revealed that its new G Watch R will hit stores on October 14. The company, however, did not specify which markets will be getting the smartwatch first. We already know that Germany will be getting the smartwatch sometime in October.

Originally announced just a few days ago, LG G Watch R is being showcased at the ongoing IFA trade fair and will be competing with Motorola’s Moto 360, whose availability details will be revealed in a few hours from now.

Sporting a round design, LG G Watch R looks sporty with its chronograph clock face. It features a 1.3-inch P-OLED display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The smartwatch runs on Google’s Android Wear and will work with all Android smartphones running version 4.3 or above.

There is no word on the final US pricing but an LG executive told WSJ that it will be pricier than the company’s G Watch, which retails for $230. It is likely that G Watch R will cost $299 in US as it lines-up with the German pricing of the device, which is 299 euros.
