LG G Watch R to retail for 299 euros

Advertisements

LG might yet to officially announce the pricing and exact availability details of G Watch R in other markets but the company has already revealed that the smartwatch will go on sale in Germany in October. It has also stated that the G Watch R will retail for a hefty 299 euros (around INR 24,000) in the country.

The circular G Watch R might look like a real-watch unlike the other rectangular Android Wear smartwatches but still 300 euros is on the upside. We hope that the pricing is high in the German market because of the European VAT and all and that it will be more aggressively priced in other countries.

To remind you, LG G Watch sports a stainless steel frame with a 1.3-inch P-OLED 320x320p display. It also comes with Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of on-board storage, 410 mAh battery and Bluetooth. The watch is also dust and water resistant and includes a heart-rate monitor, barometer, and the other usual sensors.

No notification light no Logo of LG no LG written its a simple watch

24K for a glorified function-less, overpriced, underwhelming toy, eh? Some people apparently have way too much money methinks. 😛

As if the Galaxy Gear cr@p wasn’t bad enough already, Apple’s reportedly looking to introduce some kind of an (even more overpriced) wearable as well.

I guess lesser mortals like yours truly will have to wait for Xiaomi to come out with a Mi Watch for Rs. 999 (99 Yuan). Till then I’ll stick with my el cheapo Fastrack LOL! 😀
