Facebook Messenger gets Android Wear support

Advertisements

Facebook has released an update for its Facebook Messenger app in the Google Play, which brings support for Android Wear devices.

According to a report in Android Central, with the latest update of FB Messenger, the Android Wear users will be able to view message notifications on their Wear devices as well as like or send a voice-reply to that message.

Android Central adds that the reply or like option will be accessible via a swipe on Android Wear watches. This is pretty much what Facebook Messenger users can do with Android Wear right now but we hope that Facebook will add more functionality in the coming updates.

Along with the Android Wear specific changes, the device version of the app has also been improved and is faster and more reliable now, revealed Facebook in the Google Play change-log.
