HTC has announced that it will be updating its flagship One M8 and One (M7) smartphones to Android L. The company also stated that the updates will be released within three months of Google’s release of final Android L software.

“As part of our HTC Advantage commitment globally, we pledge to update all of our HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) smartphones within 90 days of receiving final software from Google,” HTC noted in a blog post.

While it is all great that HTC will be updating HTC One M8 and M7 to Android L, but it is the mid-range and budget Android smartphone buyers that are deprived for the Android updates. We all know that flagship smartphones do get Android updates but it is the smartphones from other segments that are dumped by the manufacturers like HTC.

To remind you, Android L final release is scheduled for later this year, so don’t get anxious to get L on your smartphone.
