Huawei announces Honor 6 with 5-inch full HD display

Huawei on Tuesday introduced the new Honor 6 smartphone at a press event in Beijing. Powered by the company’s 1.3GHz Kirin 920 octa-core processor, the smartphone sports a 5-inch full HD display.

According to Huawei, the phone comes with an aluminium frame, which makes it sturdy and the company has managed to shrink the bezel to achieve a 75.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. To put the screen-to-body ratio in perspective, LG G3 has the best ratio at 76.4 percent among the popular smartphones.

Coming to the specifications, Honor 6 packs 3GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of internal storage, microSD card, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and Android 4.4.2 with Emotion UI 2.3 on top. In addition, the phone supports dual-SIM support, IR blaster, 4G LTE and other usual connectivity options.

There is no word on availability right now, however we do know that the phone will retail for 1999 yuan ($320) (16GB) and 2299 yuan ($368) (32GB) but we will update the post as soon as we hear something.
