Honor, a Huawei spin-off brand, has introduced a new Android phone in China with a massive 8,000mAh battery. This will enable the phone to offer a truly multi-day battery life. Moreover, the company has included 66W wired charging support to ensure you don’t spend hours trying to juice up the phone.
It’s called Honor Power
Aptly called Honor Power, the phone has a few more tricks up its sleeve. For instance, it boasts 360-degree water resistance, a feature that ensures the phone can withstand full immersion in water without any damage. This means you can use the phone confidently in various environments, including underwater, without worrying about its safety. It also claims to have superior build quality and enhanced signal reception to get better connection in low network areas.
In other highlights, the phone features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ OLED screen with a wide color gamut, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,000 nits peak brightness. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 mid-range processor and houses stereo speakers, dual-frequency GPS, up to 12GB of RAM, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
It runs on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 and is packed with AI-backed features, promising an innovative and intuitive user experience. On the camera front, there are two cameras on the back and one on the front.
Surprisingly, despite packing such a big battery and a large display, the phone is not super heavy and weighs less than 210 grams.
Mid-range pricing and three colors
Given the SoC choice, the Honor Power has mid-range pricing. It starts at 1,999 CNY (roughly $270) and goes up to 2,499 CNY (roughly $340). It’s set to go on sale in China on April 18. There is no word on a release elsewhere right now, but I won’t be surprised to see it make its way to India soon.
You can choose from Snow White, Phantom Night Black, and Desert Gold colors.
