Intex launches Aqua 3G Android phone for INR 3,555

Indian smartphone vendor Intex has released a new budget Android phone in the country. Dubbed as Aqua 3G, the phone has been priced at just INR 3,555 and packs entry-level specifications.

“We at Intex are at the forefront to innovate and offer products which promises the customers seamless functioning and unbeatable browsing experience at a rock bottom price. Aqua 3G is a marvel from Intex basket which will enable users to stay connected with the world all the time,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head at Intex Mobiles.

According to Intex, Aqua 3G comes with 4-inch WVGA IPS display, Android 4.2.2, dual-SIM support and 1GHz dual-core processor. The phone also packs 256MB of RAM, 2MP rear camera and VGA front shooter. In addition, Intex has included 512MB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1400 mAH battery in the smartphone.

The company is targeting the consumers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities with the Aqua 3G, which will be competing with the likes of Lava IRIS 350m, Karbonn A50S, and Celkon Campus A35K.
