The Divide team will be joining Google and work with the Android team on the enterprise features of the platform.
“The company was founded with a simple mission: Give people the best mobile experience at work. As part of the Android team, we’re excited to continue developing solution that our users love,” Divide team wrote on its website today.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Despite being world’s biggest mobile platform, Android is still not very popular among enterprise users. To entice more companies to use their smartphones, manufacturers like Samsung have built their own enterprise solutions like Knox but will little success. If Google can include features, which will make Android more enterprise friendly from the OS-end, it will be a big help for the operating system to make in-roads in the boardrooms.
As per recent reports, Google has already been hard at work to integrate enterprise features in Android and Divide team will play a key role here.
