Which devices can get the Android 15 Developer Preview?

Google has released the Android 15 Developer Preview images for ten Pixel devices. These devices are Pixel 6, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.

Older Pixel phones are unsupported as Google has restricted the developer preview to Tensor-powered devices.

How to download and install the Android 15 Developer Preview

You can download the Android 15 Developer Preview from the Pixel downloads page on the Android Developers website.

To flash the dev preview image on your phone, you can use the Android Flash Tool, or you can do so manually via the command line. Remember, you must unlock the bootloader to flash the system image. If your device bootloader is not already unlocked, unlocking it will wipe the device. So, make sure to back up everything before attempting the installation.

The Android Flash Tool instructions are available on the Android website.

If you are not used to developer previews, it’s best to avoid it and wait for the stable version. Also, don’t install it on your primary device, as it will likely be filled with bugs and issues.
