LG has started rolling out Android 4.4 update for its curved-screen G Flex smartphone in South Korea. The update is now live on all three telecom operators – KT, SKT and LG U Plus.

According to LG, this update brings KitKat specific changes like immersive mode, cloud-print support, performance enhancements, as well as Knock Code feature, improved Bluetooth implementation for in-car use, and split-window.

There is no word on when the update will be released in other markets but given the fact it is already live in Korea, we should start seeing in more markets soon.

To remind you, LG G Flex was originally launched in November 2013 with Android 4.2.2 and LG is skipping Android 4.3 to directly update the phone to KitKat.

KitKat update also live for Optimus G Pro

LG G Flex isn’t the only smartphone getting Android 4.4 update in South Korea. The company recently started rolling out KitKat update for LG Optimus G Pro too. The update is currently available for SKT and LG U+ variants, however KT variant will get the update in future.

According to LG, this update includes LG UX 4.0, QSlide app, updated LG apps (phone, messages, email, and file manager) as well as new widgets (drive, digital clock, analog clock, etc.). In addition, the update will have the KitKat specific features.
