Micromax enters Russian market, introduces Canvas Beat & Social smartphones

Micromax has announced its entry in the Russian smartphone market with the launch of two Android smartphones in the country. According to the company, it plans to release as many as 14 devices in Russia this year.

As per a press release issued by the company, the company has partnered with VVP group for the device distribution.

“At Micromax, our emphasis has always been to democratize technology for masses around the world through an innovative product portfolio. Our initial focus in the Russian market is to replicate the success witnessed in our other markets in the last couple of years. We have carved the vision for ourselves to be the 1st Indian hardware brand to be global and set our footprint with Russia as the first developed market to venture into,” said Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder, Micromax.

Coming to the smartphones, Micromax has introduced the new Canvas Beat A114R and Canvas Social A94 phones. Canvas Beat and Canvas Social are the variants of Canvas 2.2 and MAd smartphones, which have already been launched in India.
