Samsung Galaxy S5 key specifications leaked, metal & plastic versions confirmed

SamMobile claims to have got hold of some of the key specifications of Galaxy S5 and confirms that the phone will indeed be released in both metal and plastic versions.

While the leaked specifications are hardly new, they are now coming from a credible source. According to SamMobile, Galaxy S5 will feature a 2560x1440p QHD S-AMOLED display (most probably 5.25-inch size), Exynos 6 Octa or Snapdragon 805 (depending on LTE connectivity), 16MP rear camera, and Android 4.4.

SamMobile speculates that the company might put one processor in metal version and other in plastic version but they were not able to get any confirmation on that.

In related news, a statement from an Italian journalist point to a March announcement of Galaxy S5 with availability in April or May. The phone will be unveiled in London, but we expect simultaneous announcements in other major cities around the world.

In more news concerning Galaxy S5, Samsung is reportedly also working on a Galaxy S5 Zoom and Galaxy S5 Mini like S4 and its variants. Details are not available at this point.
