Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy Note II now live in India

Advertisements

Samsung India has started rolling-out Android 4.3 update for its Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 smartphone today. The update is now available both over-the-air and via Kies application. Over 700MB in size, this is a pretty big update, so if you are opting to download it OTA, better download it on a decent Wi-Fi network.

According to Samsung, the update brings Galaxy Gear support, Knox integration, SmartSwitch (to seamlessly transfer content from other smartphones to Samsung devices) Group Play 2.5 and more to the smartphone.

Here are some more changes:

  • TRIM Support, Better RAM management
  • Samsung Wallet (Pre-loaded)
  • Core UI elements updated
  • New Samsung Keyboard, and updated Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery & Music apps
  • New Lock-screen: Multiple Widgets, improved ripple effect than Android 4.1.2, ability to change clock size and set a personal message
  • New screen modes: Adapt Display and Professional Photo
  • Daydream
  • Actionable notifications
  • Move-to-SD-card feature
  • New Camera mode: Sound and Shot
  • Completely revamped Settings UI
  • Implementation of Voice controls, New S-Voice
  • Full screen Samsung apps

Please keep in mind that the update is released in phases, so not everyone will get it right-away. If you can’t get the update OTA, try updating your phone via Kies.
