HTC India to launch One max for INR 56,000, more Desire phones incoming: Report

HTC is all set to introduce its One max smartphone in the Indian market and it will be getting a whooping INR 56,000 price-tag in the country, reports Business Standard.  This is not all; HTC is also planning to launch two to four more Desire-series Android smartphones in the country by the end of this year.

“We will be launching HTC One Max priced at Rs 56,000 and two accessories – HTC Mini+ and HTC Fetch – in the Indian market next week,” HTC Country Head Faishal Siddiqui told BS.

To remind you, HTC One max was originally introduced last month and features 5.9-inch full HD display, 16GB/ 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.3, 4MP Ultrapixel camera, 2MP front camera, 2GB of RAM and 50GB of free Google Drive space. The INR 56,000 price-tag is just too much for a phone like One max, we hope somehow HTC India comes back to its senses before officially launching the phone at this price but given the track-record, we are not hopeful.

Coming to the accessories, HTC Mini+ and Fetch are expected to be priced at INR 5,000 and INR 2,500 respectively.

HTC Mini+: It is a companion device for select 2013 HTC Android models and can work as a phone, camera remote, or even TV remote when connected to your phone.

HTC Fetch: It is a keychain accessory, which can activate your phone’s ringtone in case you can’t find your phone.  The device has a working range of 15meters.

No details are available on the upcoming Desire-series smartphones.
