Dell announces Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android tablets, priced starting $149.99

Android tablet wars are heating up again. PC maker Dell re-entered the Android tablet market today with the announcement of Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets. Targeted to the budget tablet market, the new tablets have been priced starting just $149.

According to Dell, Venue 7 and Venue 8 come with 1280x800p display, Intel Clover Trail+ dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.2.2. The tablets will be getting Android 4.3 and 4.4 updates in the future.  This is not all, both rear and front cameras are also included on the tablet but the exact megapixel count in unclear at this moment.

The new Venue tablets go on sale beginning October 18 in US and select countries around the world. The tablets will be available in both Wi-Fi only and 4G variants.
