Dell to launch Venue 8 Android tablet soon?

Advertisements

Dell has been missing from the Android tablet arena since the launch of its 7-inch and 10-inch Streak Android tablets in 2010 and 2011 respectively. The company however seems to be planning a comeback. A tablet, dubbed as Dell Venue 8, has appeared on Wi-Fi Alliance’s website, revealing that we might soon see another Dell Android tablet.

As per the Wi-Fi Alliance’s website, Dell Venue 8 will run on Android 4.2.2 and come with Wi-Fi connectivity. Other details are unknown at this moment but considering the name Venue 8, it is possible that the display size is going to be 8-inches.

There is no word on when exactly we will be able to see the tablet but as it is already appearing for the certifications, the actual launch might not be very far. We could see the company release the tablet in time of holiday shopping season.

We are actively tracking the story and will update if anything new pops up.
