Dish TV brings online streaming app for its subscribers

Advertisements

DTH service provider Dish TV has launched an Android app for its subscribers in India. The new app, which is dubbed as DishOnline, allows Dish TV subscribers to watch live TV, Video on demand and movies on the go.

The app is free and can be activated using subscriber’s Dish TV account but you will still need to subscribe one of the two available DishOnline packages (INR 29 and INR 69) to access the app. There is a trial period of 48 hours, which gives you sufficient time to get an idea of what you are getting into.

We used the app for some time and apart from live TV, there is nothing worthy of spending money in the app. The selection of available movies is very poor; we couldn’t find any TV shows or videos (could be a technical glitch). Even for the live TV, the video quality is just so-so, no option of HD.

App features

  • Watch 35+ LIVE TV Channels
  • Watch On-Demand Hollywood and Bollywood movies
  • Access TV shows which you missed
  • Detailed program guide of various channels
