Verizon LG G2 getting minor software update

Advertisements

Verizon has started rolling out a small software update for LG G2 smartphone earlier today. The update is now available over-the-air and can be triggered by going to Settings >> About phone >>Software update.

There is no change-log available right now, so we can’t really tell on what to expect from this update.

Update details:

  • Software version: VS98011A

Verizon’s LG G2 is unlocked for AT&T and T-Mobile HSPA+

In related news, Android Central is reporting that the SIM card slot on Verizon’s variant of LG G2 is unlocked for use of AT&T and T-Mobile HSPA+ SIM cards. This is not new but normally Verizon has left the SIM slot locked for at least US telecom GSM operators, while it was open to be used on GSM networks outside United States.
