HP is planning to launch another Android tablet and if we believe a listing on benchmarking site GFXBench, it will be called as HP Slate 8 Pro. There is no word on the actual launch date as of now but we hope to see more details in the coming weeks.

As per the benchmark listing, the Slate 8 Pro will feature a 1600x1200p (4:3 aspect ratio) resolution display and 1.8GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor. The tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 but other details are unclear at this moment.

HP will most likely try to price it competitively, so we should not expect any earth-shattering specifications but the presence of 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, and 2MP front camera is likely.

When launched, HP Slate 8 Pro will be competing with LG’s upcoming 8.3-inch Android tablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, new Nexus 7 and Apple’s upcoming iPad mini.
