HP announces Slate 7 HD, 10 HD and Slate 8 Pro Android tablets

In addition to the HP Slate 7 Extreme, HP on Thursday also announced the addition of three new tablets to its Android portfolio. All new tablets are part of the company’s Slate line-up – Slate 7 HD, 10 HD and Slate 8 Pro.

Talking about HP Slate 8 Pro first, as the name suggests it sports an 8-inch 1600x1200p resolution 4:3 display (7.98-inch to be exact).  Powered by NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, the tablet comes with 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, microSD card slot, Micro-HDMI and Micro-USB ports. It is expected to run on Android 4.2.2 but the exact version is unknown right now.

Coming to HP Slate 7 HD and Slate 10 HD, both the tablets come with 1280x800p resolution displays with dual-core Marvell PXA986 processor, Beats Audio and 3G/ 4G support. The tablets also feature front and rear cameras as well as microSD card slot. Both Slate 7 HD and 10 HD are powered by Android 4.2.2.The company has also pre-loaded its HP Connected Photo and HP Connect Music applications on the new tablets. Other specifications as well as pricing and availability details are a mystery right now but we hope to hear more on the same closer to the availability.
