A photo taken from Sony Honami aka i1’s rear camera, which appeared in Google+ photos, has confirmed that Honami C6902 indeed packs a 20MP rear camera. Looks like Sony is going to focus on imaging capabilities in its upcoming flagship Sony Xperia i1.

Taylor Li, who has posted this photograph on Google+, is a Sony Mobile Taiwan employee, confirming the credibility of this photo. The EXIF data of the photograph clearly reveals that the rear camera of the phone is capable of taking 3936x5248p sized images.

The resulting photograph seems quite clear even in 100pc cropped version, while we can’t comment on the quality of the camera with just a single image, the clarity is visible.

To remind you, Sony Xperia i1 (Honami, C690x) is rumoured to feature 5.0-inch Full HD triluminuous display with X-reality engine, 2.2Ghz Quad Core Snapdragon 800 Processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with support for microSD card, 20.7MP rear camera with Sony G Lens and BIONZ image processing engine, 3000mAh battery and Android 4.2.2.

The company is expected to unveil it on September 4 at a press event in Berlin.
