LG has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone in its L-series II. Dubbed as Optimus L1 II, the new smartphone joins the already available L3 II, L5 II, L7 II and other phones in L-series II.

Set to go on sale in Vietnam soon, the phone will also be launched in Russia, UK and select other markets. We also expect to see the release in India some time later this month or next month.

Talking about the smartphone specifications, LG Optimus L1 II features 3-inch capacitive display, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, and Android 4.1.2. The phone also packs 2MP fixed focus camera, and 512MB of RAM.

In addition, LG has included 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G support and 1540 mAh battery. From the looks of it, LG has targeting Samsung’s Galaxy Pocket Neo with L1 II.

According to reports, LG Optimus L1 II will cost 19,90,000 Vietnamese Dongs ($93), which means if the phone lands in India, it could be priced below INR 6,000.
