HTC One getting Android 4.2.2 update in Taiwan

Advertisements

Just days after pushing the Android 4.2.2 update to the dual-SIM variant of HTC One, the Taiwanese manufacturer has now started rolling out the same update for the single SIM version as well. The update is currently live in HTC’s home country in Taiwan but should not take long to reach other countries.

The change-log for HTC One update is no different from the dual-SIM version. HTC One users can expect to see Android version bump to 4.2.2, launcher bar enhancements, lock-screen widgets, home button options, new quick settings panel in notification shade, and gallery/ camera app improvements. The update will also bring new Zoe file format, and video highlights to the phone.

Like all other HTC updates, this one also is available over-the-air. HTC will notify you once the update reaches your smartphone, however you can also try to trigger it manually by going to Settings << About Phone << Software update.

If you have already got the update, do let know about the experience in comments.
